Following the completion of the renovations of the Health Center and its temporary stay on the 6th floor of Howe, a new office shuffle began. Currently there are renovations taking place on the 6th floor to prepare it for what will be a Career Center. The renovations taking place currently are a general fix-up of the floor and will place Career Development on the east side of the building while placing the Cooperative Education on the west side of the building.
Other departments to be affected by the move include The Office of Residence Life, which will move to the west side of the 7th floor where Cooperative Education currently is located. Student Counseling will be moving to where The Office of Residence Life currently is, on the south-east side of the 7th floor, while Sponsored Research will be moving to the east side of Howe on the 9th floor where Career Development currently resides.
The renovations are currently on track to be completed by early June. Listed among the reasons for the office moves is the desire to have a coordinated Career Center with improved interview rooms, more privacy for Student Counseling, and gained space for both The Office of Residence Life and Sponsored Research.
