After taking third place in the Northeast Intercollegiate Conference (NEIC) Championships, the Stevens's Paintball Team is heading to Dallas for the national competition. Currently, they are nationally ranked 29 out of approximately 60 teams. If the team wins the national competition there is a possibility that they will be ranked in the top 10.
The team will be sending two teams of players to the national competition. Each team consists of five players and one alternate. If everything goes well this year, they may make the transition to X-Ball next year. There are two main differences between X-Ball and traditional 5-Man Paintball. In traditional 5-man paintball, each team works to get a flag and wins as soon as the flag is retrieved. Conversely, X-ball has a 20 minute time limit where each team works to capture the flag as many times as possible.
The tournament will take place on April 21-22 in Dallas, Texas.
