The Greek fraternities and sororities with houses on Castle Point Terrace experienced a brief power outage on Sunday around midnight. A PSE&G official attributed the cause to "an open wire that needed to be replaced." PSE&G responded quickly to the alert phoned in by Alpha Sigma Phi brother Jason Travis as soon as the outage occurred. Power was back up in approximately two hours around 2 a.m. Monday. The apartments along River Terrace also lost power during that time. Chris La Pilusa who lives at 604 River Terrace said "the flickering fluorescent lights in the hallway looked like a disco dance party."
