Schulte and Bochicchio Named All-Americans by AVCA

On Monday afternoon, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 4th Annual AVCA Division III Men's All-America Teams. Senior setter/outside hitter Michael Schulte and sophomore outside hitter Tomas Bochicchio were among 20 student-athletes to earn the honor this year. Schulte was named a first-team selection for the second straight year, while Bochicchio was named a second-team selection.
Last year, Schulte became one of the first two All-Americans in the history of men's volleyball at Stevens. He was named the NECVA Tournament Most Valuable Player this year as Stevens captured the NECVA Championship. He has recorded 1,532 assists in 121 games, which totals 12.66 assists per game. He is also ranked first in service aces with 46. Schulte helped Stevens advance to the Molten Division III Men's Invitational Volleyball Championship.
Bochicchio earns All-American honors for the first time in his career. He was named the Metro Division Co-Player of the Year and currently leads the team with 4.02 kills per game to go along with 390 kills. He is also third on the team in digs with 203.
