Merriam's 79 Carries Men's Golf to Strong Showing at Lebanon Valley Spring Tournament

Junior Tom Merriam shot a seven-over par 79 to finish tied for sixth-place amongst 114 competitors as the Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team finished in 16th place out of 23 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Spring Golf Tournament on Monday afternoon at the Lebanon Country Club (6,562 yards) in Lebanon, Pa. Merriam posted a 40 on the front-nine and a 39 on the back as the Ducks competed in their second tournament in the last four days.
Dickinson College won the team title at Lebanon with a combined score of 329. Neumann College was second with a total of 331. Elizabethtown College (332) and Messiah College (335) finished in third and fourth place, respectively. Albright College and Swarthmore College tied for fifth with a team score of 336. Stevens earned a total of 345.
Junior Scott Mozeleski turned in a solid performance for the Ducks as he finished tied for 31st place with a round of 84. Mozeleski shot a 39 on the front-nine. Senior Jake Heffernan and junior Chris Dunderdale tied for 80th place overall with a score of 91. Sophomore John Kearns shot a 98 on the day.
