Iran released 15 British sailors this week. This ends a week-long standoff that started when Iran took the sailors hostage, alleging they had illegally entered Iranian waters. The Royal Navy insisted that it had not left Iraqi waters at the time of the capture. The situation was diffused when Britain issued a statement that it would never enter Iranian waters.
Ford CEO Alan Mullally received $28 million for his first four months as CEO. The high salary comes on the heels of Ford's continuing slip in the international auto industry.
An FBI officer was killed during a botched bank robbery in Readington, New Jersey. The officer was taken to University Hospital in Newark. He later died in the hospital. The officer's identity was not released because his family has not been informed as of press time.
