On March 5th the Stevens Police welcomed their new Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety, Timothy Griffin, to his first day on the job. Chief Griffin joins the Stevens community after 25 years of Police service. Starting in 1982 as a detective for the Hudson County Prosecutors Office, he has been promoted through the ranks to Captain of Investigations.
Eugene McDermott was born on cold February day at the close of the 19th century in Brooklyn, NY so it is only proper that he has had a great hand in shaping the 20th. In 1919, he received an M. E. from Stevens and then went to work for the Goodyear Rubber Company and then at the Western Electric Company.
With the Hoboken temperature finally rising, we decided to take a walk and see what we could find. Since we have exhausted most of downtown, we walked up and found a little restaurant on 10th and Willow. The name of this restaurant might surprise you… 10th and Willow.
