Bianchi Helps Women's Volleyball Improve to 6-0 in the Skyline with Three-Game Sweep of USMMA

Sophomore middle blocker Alexa Bianchi (North Caldwell, N.J.) tallied six kills and two blocks in leading the Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball to a 30-5, 30-13, 30-23 victory over the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday in Hoboken, N.J. With the win, the Ducks improved to 21-4 on the year and 6-0 in the Skyline Conference.
Sophomore setter/right-side hitter Melissa Rhode (New Orleans, La.) had nine assists, nine digs and five service aces against the Mariners (5-13, 3-4 Skyline). Senior setter Micki Biltz (Lakewood, Ohio) finished with 12 assists and 10 service aces. Senior outside hitter/libero Rachel Ostroff (North Miami, Fla.) added 12 digs. Junior right-side hitter JoAnne Pojuner (Princeton Junction, N.J.) contributed six kills for the Ducks.
