Over 50 students from ten colleges attended the Stevens chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' (ASME) Student Leadership Seminar. On Saturday, October 7, students convened from the College of Staten Island, Drexel University, McGill University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, State University of New York - Stony Brook, Stevens Institute of Technology, Temple University, The City College of New York, Cooper Union and Villanova University.
The day was packed with personal and career development sections. Activities included a leadership and teambuilding workshop, a panel discussion on "Jobs, Careers, and Professionalism" and a resume and interview prep workshop.
Instrumental in the planning and execution of the ASME Seminar was Chloe Weck '07, Stevens Institute Student Section Chair. "I think my favorite part of ASME regional events is the chance to work with other schools and network with people from many different industries," says Chloe.
