Sunday mornings at 11:00, white Dunkin Doughnuts bags flutter on the ramp leading to Jacobus Hall. The bags signal the advent of "Coffeehouse," complements of the Residence Hall Association (RHA). Coffeehouse offers free food and good company to any member of the Stevens community awake on Sunday mornings. Dozens of doughnuts in every variety are spread across Jacobus' counter and fresh coffee is in abundant supply. Croissants, bagels, milk, and juice are also offered until 1 in the afternoon or until the spread runs out.
Coffeehouse has been a Stevens event for several years now. Prior to this year, it was the responsibility of the Interdormitory Council, and when that organization evolved into the RHA the tradition continued.
On October 29th, as part of Tech Week, RHA will hold a "Super Coffeehouse" which will incorporate the normal fare with hot food, including omelets. There are also plans to hold a "Smoothie Coffeehouse" where members of RHA will make fresh smoothies for early risers.
There is no registration for participation in any Coffeehouse. All are welcome to attend.
