For incoming freshmen at Stevens, college life can be overwhelming at first. It takes a lot of time to adjust to the new, more independent lifestyle. For many freshmen, the Greek organizations on campus can be beneficial. They can go to the Greek houses on campus for general advice on college life, help with difficult homework, or even to just relax and hang out. Joseph Giunta, a brother at one of the fraternities here at Stevens, says, "Greek life impacts college students in a positive manner due to the fact that those involved in the fraternities and sororities learn from each other and learn responsibility from the experiences that they face everyday." Ceci Arias, a sorority sister here on campus, says, "I appreciate Greek life at Stevens because it adds another dimension to college life." There are fifteen Greek organizations here at Stevens, including nine fraternities, three sororities, and three multicultural Greek organizations. All of the houses on campus usually have open doors, so any freshmen who are looking around at the different houses are almost always welcomed in.
