During this past winter break, a group of over 20 Stevens students traveled on a trip visiting London, Paris, and Rome. The trip allowed the students to experience the different cultures, cuisines, and atmosphere traveling by plane, train, ferry and motor coach. Now Contiki, the travel company that the Stevens Institute of Technology Student Life Office booked the 2006 Winter Intersession trip through is sponsoring a video contest.
The grand price for the winning the contest is a trip for two to Australia. Voting is done on the website YouTube and the video with the highest rating and number of votes as of October 6 th, 2006 will be declared the winner. Anyone may enter the contest as long as their video footage contains people between the ages of 18 and 34 in one of the places that Contiki Tours operate. Type in the tags "Contiki" and "Stevens" in YouTube to view an entry that shows the fun had by the group that went on this past Stevens trip. Entries are accepted until September 30th, 2006 and voting closes on October 6th. For more information, visit www.contiki.com.
According to the Student Life Office, 14 students have signed up for the Winter Intersession 2007 trip to the Mediterranean. Highlights are to include ringing in the new year in Madrid, Spain followed by a visit to Barcelona. The trip then continues to the French Riviera before venturing into Italy to explore Pisa, Florence, and Rome.
