With a short meeting to confirm it the SGA cabinet brought to an end what has been a tumultuous journey with the question: Will we build a new rock wall. This past week brought those 6 months of discussion on the construction of a new Rock Wall proposal to an end. After students only showed a lukewarm response when surveyed during the spring elections the SGA cabinet decided to try and move forward on the proposal. With the aim of making it accessible to students but also challenging enough to ensure that students actively use it the SGA and the school had a hard finding a suitable place to put the rock wall. Even with the issue of funding solved, the Rock Wall proposal was killed by a lack of space to put it.
Steve Stumpp, SGA president, referred to the Capital Improvements committee on the SGA of which he now is in charge when asked for what he plans to use the capital improvement fund. There have been no proposed ideas, but Stumpp invited anyone with proposals to attend the upcoming cabinet meeting this Sunday at 7pm in the Fielding Room in Howe.
