College Shooting in Montreal, Quebec
Wednesday afternoon a gunman opened fire in Dawson College on students. Appearing to be without emotion the man went on to injury 19 students, while one student in her 20's died of injuries from the shooting.
The gunman, 25 year old Kimveer Gill of Laval, was killed by police.
Solar Panels unfurl after Astronauts lose a screw
On Wednesday NASA Astronauts on a space walk to install the Solar Panels on the International Space Station had lost a loose screw as it floated out to space. While earlier in the week there had been concerns after it appeared a nut may have become lodged in the mechanical workings of the Solar Panels.
Fears were put aside however when the solar panel array successfully unfurled. This solar array will supply a quarter of the stations energy when completed in 2010
YouTube Star Lonelygirl15 not so lonely
The creators of what has become one of the most popular profiles on YouTube have recently come out to admit that the character they created, Bree, was an experiment in storytelling.
Although the creators declined to identify the actor used in the films, internet fans have identified her as Jessica Rose, a 19 year old actress from New Zealand.
Apple's FairPlay DRM cracked yet again
Hours after releasing iTunes 7 with a new FairPlay DRM protection scheme, Apple's protection was cracked. In an effort to stem what it believes will lead to illegal file sharing, Apple had included a Digital Rights Management system called FairPlay in their iTunes version 6. Recently however cracks had become widely available on the internet allowing users to remove the protection scheme.
Apple than released iTunes 7 with a newer version of the DRM in hopes of once again securing it's format. Hours after it's release however crackers had already begun circulating software capable or removing the new protection scheme
