Kimberly Dikovics made the best of her one-night trip to Nashville, Tennessee by taking first place in the poster competition at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) National Student Conference on November 9. More than two hundred undergraduate students gathered at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel to participate in the competition, presenting research on a variety of subject matter.

This past Wednesday, the Stevens chapter of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers, or IEEE, along with Stevens Graduates of the Last Decade (Stevens GOLD) held an event to discuss the importance of networking and how engineers can utilize it to benefit both their academic experience and professional career.
Rajarathnam Chandramouli, Thomas Hattrick Chair Professor of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Stevens, along with his colleague, Professor Koduvayur Subbalakshmi, recently received a grant from the National Science Foundation for their research on "Human Behavior Inspired Cognitive Radio (CR) Network Design.
One year ago, Provost George P. Korfiatis announced at the State of the Institute his intent to form a group that would work to bridge the divide between the faculty at Stevens Institute of Technology and its students. They would be called the Student-Faculty Alliance and they would be composed of experienced faculty members and a select group of students.
