As the sun sets on the Hudson River and the New York City skyline begins to light up, a feast is about to begin in the Skyline Room. The feast was the culmination to the 5th Annual Ramadan Fast-A-Thon. Organized by the Muslim Student Association (MSA), along with the Malaysian Student Association (MaSA) and the Indian Undergraduate Association (IUA), the Fast-A-Thon asks members of the Stevens community to fast for one day from sunrise to sunset.
One of many outdoor events that took place this Wednesday afternoon was the Chinese Student Association's Little Chinatown event in the quad next to the Morton-Peirce-Kidde complex. Upon arrival, students were given a card containing eight stamps, which could be redeemed for assorted goodies at the event's various tables.
"Hayden Cocks! Hayden Cocks! Hayden Cocks!" was one of the countless battle cries that rung out from the freshmen involved in this year's Freshmen Dodgeball Tournament. The cry was in reference to Hayden Hall's mascot, a giant rooster. During the event, balls were flying, men were diving and most importantly each hall was given a chance to have a lot of fun.
The Stevens Honor Board is a small, but influential group of students on campus. The Honor Board is responsible for raising awareness and defending the Honor System and also dealing with Honor System violations when they arise. Each semester, the Honor Board recruits new members to be a part of it and, like the Student Government Association, elections are held to decide who will serve on the board.
