On February 7, 2010, the world famous Super Bowl will be in Miami, Florida. With this game, Florida will hold the record for the most Super Bowls held in the same state: Florida with ten. The New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts dominated the league this season and succeeded in reaching the prestigious Super Bowl. Both teams have numerous threats with players and experienced quarterbacks to lead them through the big game. The Colts are looking to win their second Super Bowl championship since 2006 with Peyton Manning as their captain and quarterback. Slightly favored, the Colts have a dynamic offense with Austin Collie, Pierre Garcon and Dallas Clark as receivers. If Peyton Manning gets into a rhythm with these receivers, their offense is going to be hard to stop. Unfortunately, the Colts may have to play without a key member of their defense, Dwight Freeney who is suffering from an ankle injury. This factor could help the Saints succeed.
The New Orleans Saints are led by Drew Brees at the quarterback position. Reggie Bush is the running back for the team and is truly starting to be a promising and reliable player. Reggie Bush is easily capable of breaking out and having a big game. On the defensive end for the Saints, Darren Sharper was named defensive player of the year this season. Watch out for an interception or two if Darren Sharper is on his game. Back on the offensive, Jeremy Shockey the big tight end is a huge force that could easily have a big receiving game as well.
All in all, Super Bowl XLIV will hopefully prove to be an intense and close game. Both teams have an extremely talented squad and if both play at the top of their games, who knows what the outcome will be.
